However it is limited in scope, as a Java-only Component Model. Many microservices will wish to be heterogeneous (ours is) and I don't think OSGi would help with that.<br /><br />However I'm not very well versed in OSGi so I'm unfamiliar with what it can do beyond componentization. I think at runtime everything will run on the same JVM? So you still run many of the risks mentioned here?<br /><br />(Will OSGi be rendered redundant by Java 9 and Jigsaw??)<br /><br />But yes OSGi is definitely one way of doing it.
